1. Booking of a Tour

To confirm a reservation, a 20% advance payment of the total tour cost is required. In addition, full payment for air/train tickets (if applicable) must be made at the time of booking. Once the advance is received, we will begin processing your hotel bookings, ticketing, and tour arrangements.

  • An additional 30% payment is due upon confirmation of reservations.
  • The remaining 50% balance must be paid at least 45 days before the tour starts.
  • For peak season bookings (20 Dec to 05 Jan), 100% advance payment is mandatory.

2. Amendment to a Booked Tour

Changes to confirmed arrangements are generally discouraged but may be accommodated depending on availability. Amendments are subject to administrative charges and possible price changes due to revised dates or availability.

3. Payment Options

A. Online Payment via Secure Gateway
We offer secure online transactions through Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Diners Club. Transactions are encrypted, and we do not store any card details.

B. Bank Transfer
Direct bank remittances can also be made. Bank details will be provided upon request.

4. Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Refunds are processed based on the timeline of cancellation prior to arrival:

  • ≥ 90 days: 50% of deposit refunded
  • 60–89 days: 30% of deposit refunded
  • 45–59 days: 20% of deposit refunded
  • < 45 days: No refund

Important:

  • Flight tickets: Non-refundable; changes per airline policy
  • Wildlife Safaris: Non-refundable, no changes permitted
  • Hotel bookings: Non-refundable once confirmed
  • Service Charges: Non-refundable

5. Miscellaneous Terms

  • Price surges due to taxes, fuel hikes, or changes in airfare will result in additional charges.
  • Room categories are subject to availability and hotel discretion.
  • We are not responsible for delays or service disruptions due to weather, strikes, natural disasters, or operational issues beyond our control (Force Majeure events).
  • All service contracts are governed by the laws of India and are subject to the jurisdiction of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

6. Limitation of Liability

Himalayan Traveling acts solely as a booking agent for hotels, airlines, transport, and other service providers. We do not own or control these entities and are not liable for service issues, cancellations, or changes by the service providers.

Use of this website and our services indicates your acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined above. It is the user’s responsibility to read and understand all policies before making bookings.
